The company “Etalon” brings to your attention bathtubs made of extremely durable material – fiberglass.
Fiberglass is one of the most widely used types of composite materials, used in the manufacture of yachts, boats, swimming pools, boats, pipes that can withstand high hydraulic pressure and are not subject to corrosion.
We manufacture composite bathtubs of three types: composite bathtub, Lorena model, Montana model and Bogatyr model.
Dimensions of the fiberglass bathtub:
Lorena bathtub – 1800 * 870 * 610 mm
Montana bathtub – 1710 * 790 * 565 mm
Bogatyr bathtub – 2200 * 930 * 520 mm
The outer coating of the bathtub is gel coat, a special material made on the basis of synthetic resins.
The coating is resistant to aggressive environment, chemical and thermal effects, has a smooth glossy surface. Among other materials, it is characterized by high wear resistance and durability.
Advantages of composite baths from Etalon:
• excellent thermal insulation;
• bath resistant to abrasion;
• restoration is possible
Changing the color increases the price by +10% of the value
Gelcoat (gelcoat) is a special material used for the purpose of high-quality decorative coating of fiberglass products.
Gelcoat is made on the basis of synthetic resins, mainly epoxy and unsaturated polyester resins. Usually, in the production of gelcoat, pigmented resins of elastic and semi-elastic type are used (strong and durable isophthalic and neopentyglycol resins are preferred).
The use of gel coat involves applying the material in a thin layer (0.5-0.8 mm) to the matrix of the product in a liquid state, while aerosol application is used (but a brush is also acceptable). In the process of curing, gelcoats form polymers and in the future resort to reinforcement with a composite polymer base, a combination of polyester resin and glass mat or epoxy resin with glass fiber or carbon fiber. Gelcoat takes a direct part in the creation of the matrix. First, the model of the product is covered with a thin layer of wax, then it is covered with a special thick matrix gel coat, a layer thicker than the usual one. Then follows the delicate process of laying the glass veil and glass material. This technology is the most common, but many companies use more sophisticated ones.
In the manufacture of matrices, specialized gelcoats are used, to which a number of requirements are definitely put forward, related to the need to ensure a high level of strength and durability to overcome the mechanical and thermal stress, inevitable satellites of the curing process of composite products, as well as the procedure for removing finished products from the matrix. Among other things, the matrix performs the function of insulating the gelcoat, which has poor contact with air. Thus, the side of the gelcoat facing the matrix hardens, and the side in contact with the fiberglass retains its stickiness, which in turn promotes interlayer adhesion with subsequent layers of fiberglass. Applied to the inner surfaces of fiberglass products, polyester enamels, which are called “topcoats”, are often used. Interior gelcoats do not necessarily need a glossy coating and have a cosmetic purpose, and therefore are usually applied by spraying.
The range of application of gelcoats is becoming wider over time. But traditionally, they are used in shipbuilding (decoration of yacht hulls, for example), in the production of swimming pools, and in the manufacture of many different fiberglass products.
